With respect to content, I agree with you. But how do you ‘back up’ screwing up a long post by accidentally bolding the whole thing? And sure, you can apologize, but then either it sits there looking ugly and being a pain in the neck to read, or you’ve got to add to a mod’s workload.
The codes are great, but every now and then, most of us screw up with them. Being a grownup or not has nothing to do with occasional coding errors.
