# Why is Israel so important to the US?

I’m sorry rampisad but they never really reneged on any agreement, firstly to the Jews they promised to establish a Jewish homeland in Palestine (but by no means taking up the whole area of Palestine), Secondly to the Arabs they promised to limit Jewish immigration to Palestine to a maxium of of 1/3 of the total popualtion, neither agreement was incompatible.

And your assertation that they wanted Israel to be overrun is bizarre.
