No, innocence is the default presumption. McGunness has dennied it, though, and he wins the credibility contest any day of the week. ---

And if that neighbor had already written disparagingly about the person in question? Then the odds skyrocket go up even farther. That’s why it’s foolish to dismiss her concerns with mocking comments such as "Isn’t it the truth though, that, at this very moment, our immediate neighbours may well be planning to write a book about us?
