At least, I’m sure that I’ve never said I wasn’t going to post again in a thread and then posted again in that thread. I’m just not certain it’s ever happened in the Pit. ---

I came to **Valteron’s** posts on suicide willing to discuss the topic. I’m not closed-minded about suicide as a rational option. The worst pain I’ve ever had was mental anguish caused by being given the wrong medication. And I’ve had physical pain bad enough that I would have chosen death if I had not known that I would get better. When **Valteron** can stop bludgeoning all of us “assholes,” long enough to realize that some of us _can_ hear him, maybe we can talk about it. I don’t like seeing him ridiculed either and I’m sorry for my part in it. But it’s almost a natural reaction to anyone so seemingly hostile. His posts elsewhere seem controlled and intelligent. For those who need help psychiatrically and can’t afford it, sometimes universities with medical schools provide very, very inexpensive assistance. If you are depressed and suicidal, you can’t afford **not** to go to the emergency room to see a doctor.
