# Why is the dog in Family Circus called "Barfy"?

Pity, I could totally see Lovecraft doing that. It would also explain the children’s hideous deformities if they were actually the hellspawn of Barfyl’yathatopp’shig’gy. Sort of a _Dunwich Horror_ deal.
