# Why is the Left so afraid of nuclear power?

First we eliminate the [42,000 plus Americans killed in car collisions every year,](http://www.car-accidents.com/pages/stats.html) then I’ll start worrying about nuclear plant meltdowns. Car collision death=real, valid concern. Nuclear accident death=unrealistic concern.
