That MSPMIS, or whatever, section of the site is far more popular than the others, while the others seem to have more purpose. What gives?

You answered your own question. The other forums have a specific purpose, but MPSIMS is for everything else.

I think it’s more that people have things they want to say, but it’s not suitable for the other forums, so it ends up there. After all, which is busier, the library or the nightclub?

It’s a **community** – a “virtual village.” Many of my closest friends are people I’ve never met – in a few cases, the OZ folks, probably never will. Serious discussion and the fighting of ignorance is important – but **so are people**. This forum is where we get to share the little stuff that makes up one’s life.

I generally lurk on all the forums, but the vast majority of my posting so far has been done here because everything I’ve had to say has been mundane or pointless.
I look at threads like “Which newbie has impressed you the most” and just kinda sigh…

Actually, I assume this is a questoin that can have an answer to it, although like most in GQ they might be debatable.
