# Why is the Polish holocaust law so controversial?

The [Ruderman Family Foundation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruderman_Family_Foundation) started an online petition and put up a (now pulled) YouTube video to encourage the repealing of this law.

Why was the video pulled? The foundation got into hot water with the use of the term “Polish Holocaust”, prompting some people to think the video blamed the Holocaust on the Polish government. Rather than attempting to dissuade this misguided notion, the foundation found it easier to pull the video.
