A ‘thanks’ or ‘like’ button would be as useful as it would be obtrusive. Minor in both cases. There’s no great reason not to have one, except that this board culture is about as close to Luddism as one can get and still be on the internet. ---

I’m ok with a “Thanks” button as long as the number of thanks isn’t displayed or even recorded anywhere. Kind of like the elevators with nonoperative door close buttons. They make you feel like you’re doing something without interfering with actual operations. ---

Believe me, **running coach** is quite familiar with that button, but that’s the “report” button, not a “reported” button. He wants a button that will post “reported” to the thread, for use after using the “report” button. ---

If you report a thread first, you have to wait 60 seconds before you can post that you reported it. 😉 ---
