For example Syria has long argued Lebanon should have been part of it and Iraq invaded Kuwait partly on the pretext Kuwait should have been a part of them. ---

Thanks for the correction vis a vis Greece; I did not address the issue of borders as not particularly relevant to the original question concerning Israel’s founding. ---
