# Why isn't the title repeated in the OP?

I know this happens if the OP gets “eaten”, but nobody mentioned that it in this thread. Is that what happenend?
Also, as I post this, that thread has a total of 10 posts ( **gobear** ’s post is the last one). So the forum list should list 9 replies. But it lists 8. This could happen if there’s a server hiccup as one of the posts is submitted. Was this thread hit with bad luck twice, or was there something else afoot?

Maybe the server sputtered a double post, and ate the one showing the title?

Ah, but if you double-post on an OP, it doesn’t make a thread with two posts to it; it makes two threads. Of course, this is under normal conditions. If the server double-posts _and_ eats one of them, well, I guess we’d never know about it, unless something like this happened. I’ve also found one more thread that had an errant post total, one short again. But I haven’t found a link between them. Probably nothing…

You’re right on the double-OP = double thread business, **Achernar**. Sorry, I was only theorising. But, I have had at least one double post happen where I _didn’t_ click “submit” twice. Just wondered if that was a similar situation to this one.
Reckon you might have to start up another X-file, unless someone comes up with an explanation.

Usually. But does it make any sense to talk about the board’s usual unusual behaviour ;)? I know I’ve seen at least one case of a single thread with a double OP. But then again, that might be the result of a merger, I suppose…
