Not exactly funny. There were some decent bits, but I find it to be unsubtle. Too heavy handed. Some of the pictures weren’t even that entertaining. Can’t believe there weren’t goonier ones of either.
The football ones were nice though. The first one in particular.

That’s not a fag joke although it could be taken as one by someone with a weak mind that does nothing but obsess about such things. The “humor” was that Kerry had is arm around the person most important to him, his political running mate, while he was dragging his wife behind him like a piece of luggage.

No kidding. This is what’s annoying about politics. **Sam** obviously posted this thread with good intentions – a kind of sweet ribbing, not an in-your-face hahaha – and some folks are sadly getting their knickers in a twist. Can’t win, can you?
Personally, I _like_ it when we (opposing parties) kid each other kindly. It takes the wind out of it all, puts a little damn humanity into the whole thing, and reminds us that we can make fun without being pricks.
Besides, if we (the Dems) can’t laugh at ourselves, then we’re really fucked! 🙂

There’a one halfway down in which Kerry appears to be holding up the corpse of his wife, sort of a “Weekend at Teresa’s” shot. Hysterical.
Unsurprisingly, we’ve already got people who just cannot get past partisanship to laugh at jokes. I feel bad for them. It’s a brain damage thing.

Running for President of the US is like putting yourself forward to be elected God: no one with a lick of sense would do such a thing. No one with the slightest sense of self-awareness and the inevitable humility that results could say with a straight face: “Yes, indeedy, I would be a splendid choice for most powerful man on the fucking planet.” There is, therefore, an inherent absurdity in the entire procedure.
The _Daily Show_ is the best available, being 90% lame crap and 10% brilliant, which is damn good when it comes to humor. Probably the best I’ve seen in years was the bit they did with Bush debating Bush, delineating the, uh, evolution of his thinking. It was droll, understated and savage. A picture showing Kerry throws like a girl wins the Congeniality Prize, it should be applauded if only for the sincerity of the effort. They _want_ to be funny, and thats commendable, truly, but Ann Coulter is as funny as venereal warts.
Besides, John-boy threw hand grenades. _Quien is el mas macho?_

I watch _The Daily Show_ every night, and laugh myself silly at the Bush jokes.
