We keep our yard looking nice purely for our own pleasure. In a rural setting, the last home of three on a private lane. Practically nobody sees our property but us.
The last few days I’ve gotten home from work around 2 and made a trip with my trailer to get a yard of mulch. My gf has been stopping work (WFH) at 5 to spread the mulch while I’ve been clearing brush in a corner of a pasture.
Then, from 7-9 we sit on the porch or patio, eating dinner and drinking wine, enjoying the view.
Where would you expect them to put their trash, inside their garage? Do you want to store trash in your garage if you put as much money into their house as these folk have? I do get a kick about those people who assume that we should not have trash.
Maybe in the bins - wherever they keep them other than trash day. Like everyone else.
Either you or I are seriously missing something.
In our countrified part of the world in which recycling is a foreign concept, you could probably play polo with whiskey bottles while riding naked on mules, without violating any ordinances or local customs.
I don’t however see trash on people’s lawns or overflowing bins at the curb.
*we ain’t got none of them HOAs neither.
