# Why might I be having difficulty accessing Facebook and Ebay all of a sudden

As per the title. I have a lovely new laptop running windows 8 and the latest version of chrome. Everything had been working fine today until a couple of hours ago when I tried to open up Facebook and I got a blank page with the little loading doohicky going on and on and on. Same thing happened with Ebay. This site loads fine. Google works fine (and boing boing and my email). Anyone have any ideas as to why the internet gods are not smiling on my attempts to share bunny pictures and buy lovely lovely yarn:confused:😕?
