Bonnie Raitt Learning to play the Blues is an essential step in learning to play guitar. Nearly all popular music today was strongly influenced by the great blues artists. You can hear it in ealy Hank Williams country, the Beatles and Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and so on. It’s carried through to music today. Unfortunately artists like Bonnie Raitt struggled for years releasing Blues albums. It wasn’t unt,il the late 1980’s that she found a producer (Don Was) that shifted her sound towards rock. Bonnie had 3 multi platinum albums with numerous top ten singles in a row. The radio market today still doesn’t support new blues artists. They have to use it in country or rock albums. I’ve taken several Blues courses online to improve my playing. I enjoy jamming with friends. Guitar is only a hobɓy foe me.
