I know we are HUGELY outnumbered by our northern hemisphere counterparts - but what about having our own Dopers get together? Anyone keen? I would suggest Alice Springs as the meeting venue, cause it’s kind of in the middle - but what would you fellow countrypersons think about a get together weekend somewhere sometime (a long weekend would suit, but the public holidays don’t gel). Maybe early December or late November? Tell me! (and "No, fuck off, I’m not doin’ it is not an answer). 🙂 ---

I doubt if you’re serious about having an Alice Springs dopefest: you really have to organise local dopefests in Australia – Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, etc. ---

The Victorian Dopers tend to be the most organised and punctual of course…we’re just that way inclined and perfect and all. 😃 If you want to do a National Dopefest, you’d wanna really plan well ahead, and count on 80% of the attendees dropping out. Oh, and Sydney is more the centre of Australia in Dope terms demographically speaking, so you’d want yer’ venue there rather than the Alice I’d guess. It’s a bit of an organisational nightmare but! ---

I’d contemplate it in Melbourne or Sydney, I guess, if it wasn’t a busy work period and I could get some time away. I suppose Adelaide is out of the question?
