Oh stop it, you’re embarassing yourself. Why wouldn’t Blair have gone ahead with two celebrations, and dominated both of them? Why wouldn’t he have just kept the royals out of it? Why were most celelbrations nothing to do with the government anyway (in both 1945 and 2005), and simply organised by independent groups of people?
