not sure I get Al Franken as some sort of saint but seems he is to a lot of people.
It’s very disappointing to me, but it’s still not terribly surprising that so many still find themselves unable to blame a man for misbehavior, if they like that man, but rather must blame those women who are critical of them.
It’s entirely Franken’s fault that Franken is no longer a Senator (and he was my favorite Senator for many years). No one else’s fault but him. His own bad behavior; not anyone else’s.
It’s pretty simple, I don’t think Franken did anything worth having the will of Minnesota’s voters overturned without some sort of trial or hearing. We can all have differences of opinion, and it doesn’t mean I think he’s a saint if I write in his name as a criticism of what I perceive is Gillibrand’s opportunism.
Anyway, her support for s720 Anti Israel Boycott Act is just as troublesome.
Franken chose to quit on his own before any hearing. Or did I miss some process where he was forced out at the point of a gun?
If you require that it be at the point of a gun I am sure there is no chance of us having a productive conversation.
Her poor explanation for supporting s720 and then removing her name is problematic.
