I’d like to put the Founding Fathers on the currency, and icons of the “birth” of the nation (the Constitution, signing of the Declaration of Independence, “Join or die”, etc.) on the backs. It’s guaranteed unobjectionable, avoids the issue of giving tribute to more recently-deceased Presidents, and would be a handy Civics 101 reminder.
