I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard that story. It pops up on [fmylife.com](http://fmylife.com) about once a month. I’m wondering if it’s a true story. Can someone really fart throughout several whole songs? 😛 ---

Can someone really fart throughout several whole songs? 😛 I’d guess you could either fart a few times during a few songs OR loud enough that everyone was staring at you, but unless you were in that “OMG I need to find a bathroom right now” stage, probably not both. I’m pretty sure it’s just a joke and nothing more. Doing a google search for the joke, I can find it going back as far as 2010 with the word iPod, but I’m pretty sure I heard it going back much further then that but with ‘headphones’ instead of ipod. ---

It would have been believable if the story said the man timed his fart while the music was loud. One fart is believable. Multiple farts = joke material. I’ve stealth farted before in noisy restaurants or bars. You just have to wait for a loud moment. Thankfully, I never wear earbuds or headphones. ---
