He does not represent anyone but himself, though I don’t doubt that some in very rural parts of the country would be uneasy about the fact itself, not the prospect necessarily. ---

I would bloody well hope so! But she seems to have accepted the mantle of being a National leader, and the fact that, as such, she must toe the line of the party as a whole, not just her personal constituency and beliefs. Honestly, if the Dems ever just came out and promised to never bring up gun control again, they’d own Congress for a century. ---

It is true that most polls seem to show that a majority of Americans don’t want gun _ban_s. OTOH, most Polls Americans seem to show them as OK with gun _control_. Although I personally think “gun control laws” are silly and useless, that Wiki cite "Pelosi has consistently supported limitations to the Second Amendment of the United States Constituion. She has voted to limit the ownership of firearms and concealed weapons.[21] She has routinely voted to restrict the number of handguns sold in the United States and to extend the waiting period for purchasing a firearm of any type. She voted against 24 Hour Background Check Amendment bill that would make background checks at a gun show mandatory because the waiting period was only 24 hours[22].
