# Why so many lies about Trump?

That’s the equivalent of burning down your house to stop a termite infection. No song ever written is more of an earworm than “Girl from Ipanema”.

Remember, at that press conference, when trump asked his embarrassed scientists about bleach and if there was any way to use it? Same with the lights, which has been exaggerated by the late-night comics into shoving lights up your ass. Did he mention actually injecting the bleach? If it was just the one time, it sounds like he thought he was thinking outside the box, in his idiotic way, like nuking hurricanes.

The article describes how poison control centers were already dealing with increased self-exposures to bleach and other corrosive/poisonous cleaning supplies as attempted coronavirus prophylaxis, so Trump’s half-assed public maunderings were not helpful.
This is why responsible leaders try to be careful about what they say in public instead of just pulling random ignorant musings out of their ass the way Trump does. Because the public awareness of those initial random musings is always going to be higher than that of the subsequent backpedaling excuses that the “comments were sarcastic” or similar.
