I try not to do situational ethics. I would find it within the bounds of “acceptable political hyperbole” if someone said, for example; “Bill Clinton’ll screw anything that moves.” I mean, _I_ move and I seriously doubt that Bill would take an interest in me. Again. it’s exaggerating something that actually is a _thing._
As for parsing Mr. Trumps words, well, _someone_ ought to. He is. at this point, the leading contender for the presidential nomination of one of the two major parties and, as such, his words matter even if they come from an orifice not normally employed for speech.

No, I don’t think that’s what we’re saying. We’re saying that Trump is a hateful person and the exact words used to convey that isn’t a big issue. And we’re also pointing out that you’re twisting other people’s words in the same way that you claim to oppose - which probably means you don’t really care about the principle involved but are just invoking it to defend your chosen candidate.

Man, it appears Trump can’t prove anything he says. His entire argument is that others can’t disprove his lies. He skulks in and thrives on shadows and misdirection and yet his followers eat it up.
