Because if you take a hot date there, oftentimes the girls will do … things. I’ve taken dates to strip clubs before and the dancers will sit and talk with us, or sit on my date’s lap, or other things like that. And then you’re _both_ really turned on after you leave the club. ---

Why do you have to be lonely and desperate to go to a strip club? I like to drink beer and eat food. Sometimes I will go to bars or restaurants just for that purpose. Does that make me desperate? I also like to look at beautiful women. What could be better than having a few beers and watching some atttractive women take off their clothes? It doesn’t have to be about getting laid. ---

Yes, you and your type make up a large percentage of the overall customer base in alot of strip clubs BUT it is the specific type of client that I previously described that make up a large part of many strippers regular income. These clients are mostly lonely, older men (married and unmarried) who have a fair amount of discretionary income (or at least flaunt it as if they do) who pay these girls A LOT of money to be their only interest for the entire night. That, many times, means nothing more than drinking with them, talking with them, flirting and touching and maybe giving a lap dance or two. Well, we will spend on the girls for lapdances and drinks and such. But we aren’t hanging out with the girls for companionship really. Well except my friend who ended up marrying one of them. The general rule is if you don’t want them throw them a $20 for a lapdance every now and then or buy them drinks, you should tell them. I’ve had strippers get pissed off because they would be chatting my ear off all night and suddenly get mad because I didn’t drop a hundred bucks on them. My response to that is it would be the same if the waitress just bullshitted with me all night, didn’t serve any drinks, and then expected me to cover the tips. Not to mention if I wanted a girl to talk my ear off about her problems, I could go to a bar or home to my girlfriend and not pay for it. So while both sides could be considered right and wrong, I find it is just better to just set expectations right away so she doesn’t waste her time. We’re really going more for drunken businessmen on a celebratory bender than sad lonely old guy with no one else to talk to.
