I got similar stuff during the campaign. I figure it was because they knew I’d voted in the Republican primary, but didn’t know that I’d done so specifically so I could vote against trump. ---

I seem to recall responding to one of the RNC’s push polls sometime in the last year by giving the exact opposite answer to which they were trying to get on every single question. That must be where they got the idea to ask me for money. ---

Didn’t the campaign incompetently buy up a bunch of random email lists in 2016? I think that’s where the periodic stories about fundraising emails going to foreign parliamentarians came from. ---

One of my more than two dozen [email alter egos](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=820087) (this would be Kelsi Firefly ;)) apparently is a Trump fan, because I get fundraising emails for Trump (really the RNC, if you look at the fine print) addressed to her. ---

Compared to the current occupant of the White House, Carson just doesn’t do it in the scare-the-shit-out-of-you department. ---
