# Why the ridiculously small font for the board categories? Also this is the ugliest board I’ve ever seen

I have to say, i was prepared to discount a reflexive aversion to change, but with complete objectivity i can say this is the single ugliest message board I’ve ever seen. The fonts are completely out of proportion and the layout is an insult to the eyes. I don’t know if it’s just an iPad thing, but on my iPad Pro, the category fonts are so small that i can barely twist my finger so i only hit one link at a time. The defining feature of the board takes up 1/20 of the page. Also, latest? Who looks at latest And why is it half the screen? Sorry for rant, i woke up in bad mood.
Now i see i can even tap in the text box to select all. Wonderful.

Hi,
Try changing the Interface. Click on your “Avatar” the Circle K on the top right of the screen.
Click on your username
Click on Preferences
Click on Interface.
There you can change the FONT/ Theme. etc.

Trust me, there are worse. A lot worse.
If you are patient, you might find the right configuration after you customize the interface a little and after you get used to the new software/application/whateveritis.

Fonts look okay on my Android in Firefox. The fonts are also okay in chrome on my Mac.
The logo is so small it just looks like a mess in the corner, though. If that’s not just me, it’s something that should be fixed. Low priority, of course, but it is counter productive as is.

The site looks fine on my Fire tablet, where I’m using Chrome, not the Silk browser. It’s a mess on my Android phone, though, also using Chrome.
Now if we can just get rid of the ads.

Did something just change in the layout? Without my changing any preferences the layout has changed the three times. When i first posted, the forum titles were in a minuscule font separated by commas. Then a few minutes ago, the Forum titles were more like they used to be but showed the top three threads after each forum. Now the top three threads are gone and it’s starting to look like it did. My only issue is i have to scroll many times just to see all the forum links.

Yes, something is happening. I think they’re still working on the site looking for the perfect layout configuration that will facilitate the transition and boost future activity. (Sorry for “facilitate” and “boost” - I didn’t want to use “make”.)

Yeah, I was wondering that as well. They’re clearly tweaking it a bit. It’s looking nicer, and is pretty okay to browse right now, at least IMHO.

I haven’t tried all the themes but the Material Design is much, MUCH better (and more similar to the old one) than the default theme. In fact, that SHOULD be the default theme. I’m sad that the “member since…” thing went away ☹ ETA: I guess it didn’t but you have to click on their icon to see it.
