Why Trillian?

For those who have used it, how is GAIM for file transfers? As zweisamkeit mentioned, Trillian is rather terrible in that area.

FWIW: I like my instant message programs in their individual forms. I’m sorry if that seems strange and inefficient. BTW: I don’t use a cell phone.
