Fair enough, and I’ve made that point many times when people try to give Clinton sole credit for deficit reduction.
However, since Clinton, unlike Obama, never had to be dragged kicking and screaming down the path of deficit reduction, I do give him credit. He wanted his stimulus, he didn’t get his stimulus, then he pivoted to deficit reduction.
