Why was the Pro Bowl moved to Florida?

They could play Madden all together as themselves. To make them happy, EA could boost everybody’s stats.

I actually like those silly skills competitions they run, with the obstacle courses and QBs throwing balls at moving targets and such. I missed it when they haven’t done it lately.

I’ve been thinking this would be a good idea for years. After the superbowl, no one cares about the probowl. With it before, it’s a build-up to the superbowl. It’s not about the players caring, it’s about whether the public will watch it. Having a few players from two teams unable to play isn’t a big deal.

Anyone remember the preseason game where the Super Bowl champs played a college All Star team? They haven’t played that game for over 20 years. I think it lasted less than 10 years.

Actually, it ended over 30 years ago…and it’d been run for over 40 years. I remember watching the last one on TV as a kid.

But it was the Super Bowl winner game for only around 10 years right?

I actually think this is a great idea. How many people can play against one another at a time, 4 on 4? Each probowl team picks 2 representatives to play a quarter each., so a total of 16 players per conference can play. Brilliant!

Are you serious? That’s the dumbest idea in the history of pro sports.

Also, isn’t it “Super Bowl”?

Start a new thread.

Correct, although that was only because there was no such thing as the Super Bowl for the first 30 or so years of the game’s existence.

It’s not like a vacation in Miami is that much worse than a vacation in Hawaii - although practically a third of the league is from Miami anyway.

Feh. An exhibition is an exhibition. Baseball’s ASG/WS connection is stupid, so would this.

The idea of randomly assigned home field advantage in baseball is also stupid. Game 7, if required, should be played at a neutral site, or the series should be staggered so as to minimize home field advantage (say, 3-4)
