# Why was the "Your opinion of the language restrictions in the Pit" thread closed

[Here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=584892) is one Nov of 2010.

And yes it was noted that such polls aren’t allowed, however it was neither closed nor locked.

Hardly what I’d call a “crack down”. Wouldn’t even register as a stern reminder.
