Hi guys. **Knead to Know** ’s seemingly [harmless thread about an old _Spenser_ TV movie](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=552759) had been answered (by me), but a few of us wanted to find out why the question was being asked in the first place. About a minute or so after **Knead to Know** posted his “thank you,” the thread was closed. I understand there’s a general “asked and answered” policy in GQ, but in Cafe Society? Why the rush to close that thread? Was my link bad or something? ---

The OP used “report this post” to say we could. I was going to leave it open – either **Ellen Cherry** or **Marley** (can’t tell who) locked it, though. I agree, no need to lock, so I opened it again. twickster, Cafe Society moderator ---
