# Why wasn't the police officer who killed Eric Garner indicted?

No, we can’t, because as far as I can tell he did nothing wrong aside from _maybe_ temporarily applying a submission hold that is administratively prohibited.

Pantaleo didn’t kill Eric Garner. Eric Garner killed Eric Garner.
