> [Davis](https://apnews.com/article/tupac-shakur-killing-las-vegas-trial-4529257714634e87ed258fde044f948b), 63, was [convicted in August](https://apnews.com/live/tupac-murder-trial-duane-davis-08-31-2026) of first-degree murder with the use of a deadly weapon. A former leader of the South Side Compton Crips, Davis stared blankly at Judge Carli Kierny as she imposed a penalty that, even with credit for time served, won’t see him eligible for parole until he’s at least 100.
