# Why would a stock change from the NASDAQ to the NYSE?

A stock that I follow (ARSD) recently changed from being listed on the NASDAQ to being listed on the NYSE. I can’t find anything that indicates why they did that. I understand that there’s a huge difference between things like OTC and pink sheet stocks compared to stocks listed on the NASDAQ or NYSE. But is there some difference between those two? Does the NYSE confer more prestige or something?
