Why would the hotel sell full beds?

Nope - it’s Sheraton Suites in Calgary.

Oprah did a show on this recently, I think. Julia Roberts was talking about having bought a bed from an upscale hotel for the reasons mentioned above. I think it’s just another trendy thing to do with your money now.

They aren’t selling used beds. What they are offering is a chance to buy a new bed of the same construction as what is offered in their hotel. I have stayed in a Westin, and I can tell you that their “heavenly bed” is maybe the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I can understand why someone might want one for their home.
Here is a link to Westin’s website where you can purchase said bed. At $1100 for queen size it not out of line with other top of the line matress / box spring sets. Of course if you go for the whole nine yards with the spendy linens and that you are out $2,565, but hey its only money right?

Hotel Insider here…

The highest end hotels have all fixtures and bedding custom made for them, and sometimes customers really are so impressed with it they want to take it home. There is a new trend to capitalize on this by using the hotel’s designer fixtures as a selling point and then offering them for sale. They are hoping that furnishings from hotels will become a new trend among the monied.
