They also completely removed the part where Del points out that Neal plays with his balls a lot (“Larry Bird doesn’t do as much ball handling as you”). I guess that plausibly could have been cut for time. ---

I learned from my brother who works in Hollywood that when shows that originally aired after the “family hour” (after 9pm, or after 10pm, depending on your time zone), move to syndication, “edited for syndication” copies are produced, and they are sold as packages that networks can air whenever they want-- which means they _might_ get aired at midnight, but it’ll still be the PG version created for syndication. So sometimes when a show like _Law & Order_ has a bunch of words edited out when you watch it at 2am, it’s **not** because they were OK in 1998, but are no longer-- it’s because they were not OK at 10am, and still are not. It is still true that religious-leaning channels have created “special” versions of shows like _Judging Amy_, that have episodes missing as much as 12 minutes (out of 40 in a “1 hour” show), and whole episodes missing from the run. ---
