You’re right, I didn’t look into it close enough. But what difference does it make? An Xbox One controller can be used with a PC through a simple USB cable. I think I have six of those floating around thanks to being packed with a wide variety of devices over the years.
I think that’s a much more elegant solution than releasing a wireless dongle or changing the standard to something like Bluetooth.
