Incidentally, her whole comment on Rush Limbaugh’s use of the word… satire? What the fuck? He essentially said “Yeah, what’s the problem? Rahm is right, they are retards” and she actually said it’s okay when he said it because it’s satire. That is the weakest handwaving shit I have seen in politics for a long time. If any of the faithful can actually swallow that reasoning, I don’t understand how their heads don’t physically explode from the cognitive dissonance. ---

Nobody asked for a cite, but just as a matter of curiosity I looked up the Beverly Hillbillies episode. It’s called “Jethro the Flesh Peddler” and aired January 22, 1969. I used to love watching the clips of The Colbert Report and The Daily Show on their respective websites but when they started adding the full episodes they blocked the clips to anyone outside the US. Now all sites seem to link to the blocked videos… We have our satire programs but nothing compares to King Colbert. ---
