No worries, no hurries. Yeah, I was out in 75, I would have been sure I’d failed if our instructors hadn’t been all over telling us that everybody feels that way. One of my classmates had her boyfriend drop her off with instructions to come back at X o’clock, the maximum time she could have. Of course she was done in the minimum, but the stress brought on her period, sooo, in the parking lot, white pants, no supplies, for 2 hours, sure she’d failed. She passed, of course, I think our entire class did. Why yes, our instructors _did_ have big heads now that you mention it. ---

I’m so proud of you! You have just gained what you need to actually learn to be a nurse. Where do you want to go from here? Give yourself permission to have a life. Don’t let the job define you. Have fun. Be curious. Let that curiosity expand your view of both your job and your life. Don’t get sucked into the idea that it _must_ be your whole life. Administrators and supervisors tend to try to convince us of that. It’s easy to burn through all your enthusiasm if you let that happen. It CAN be a great ride. ---

Congratulations **WhyNot**!!! Now, remember, when you call in a script to the pharmacy, speak clearly and slowly, and if you don’t know how to pronounce a medication name, spell it. 🙂 So, your licensing exam has a variable number of questions? Wow, that’s scary. I’m taking the NAPLEX (Pharmacist licensing exam) tomorrow, we have 185 questions to answer, though only 150 of them are actually scored. Though, it’s the same as yours where they know what we get wrong, and throw more questions like that at us. My first adaptive test… I’m scared! :eek: ---

Actually (and I’m sure WhyNot can help, here), hasn’t modern medical practice largely moved away from licking as a diagnostic technique? It’s certainly been my experience that nurses very rarely make any oral contact at all with their patients (outside of certain specialist publications for the discerning gentleman, that is). ---
