… and, just moments ago at around 4:20 EDT: \*Error: Server Error The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request. Please try again in 30 seconds. \* and the rest of the time is almost unuseably slow. I just managed to get this one post to go through. ETA: Briefly better now. I wonder if the problem is related to the often-sketchy ads that this place sometimes serves up, even if they’re not actually being displayed. ---

If you get a timeout after posting, the post has usually gone through, in my experience. And Lord knows I’ve had enough experience in the past few months. This is beyond fucking annoying. ---

I think it needs to be understood that this has been an ongoing intermittent problem for months now. IMHO, this is not an issue of a note to tech support saying “please fix this when you can, if it’s not too inconvenient”. Far be it from me to dictate how this place should be run, but in any place that I have ever worked that takes its IT mission seriously, this kind of ongoing fiasco would be an issue of “someone (or some organization, in the case of outsourcing) needs to be replaced, because they’re not doing their job”. ---
