Seems incredible to me that the cheating wife has not been outed yet. Surely that’s only a matter a time. People will be dying to know whether he dumped her over the incident. ---

Agreed. I’ve been to that stadium many times and I have a pretty good mental picture of how far the seats/rows are apart. There is no way anyone just "happened " to read the phone of the person in front of them. I have 20/10 vision and at about the distance I think the rows are apart, I _really_ have to concentrate to read my iPhone screen. Unless cheating lady had her font size turned way up, no way was this just a “casual” look at her screen. “Some” people in this thread have basically implied that there is “no way to avoid reading other peoples phones/laptops, etc.” Bullshit. It’s obvious the two little twerps worked really hard to do it. And, just to reiterate, no, I’m not defending what the woman was doing, “cheating be wrong, ya’ll”, but the discussion here is on the snooping, not the cheating. ---

Maybe they’re not even married. Maybe she’s out on a first date with him and got a flirty text from the other guy that she’s been on a few dates with. (and maybe she called him “Nancy” so when it pops up other dates don’t get jealous and other women/friends don’t ask questions, maybe she does that with all the guys she goes out with). I know, long shot, but I’m surprised no one’s considered that he might not be her husband. The girls made that assumption, based on the text and the name Nancy and the internet ran with it. It may be a perfectly innocent date and a perfectly innocent (if racy) text. But, hey, let’s make them internet stars for a few weeks. Maybe they’ll get on Tosh.0. ---

No, it implies that there’s overwhelming consensus that cheating is an utterly shitty thing to do. If responses were focused on that angle, the thread would go like this: Poster 1: I think cheating is bad. Poster 2: Hey, I agree! Cheating is terrible! Poster 3: I disapprove of cheating. Poster 4: You know what I think? I think cheating is bad. Repeat ad infinitum, for a really, really boring thread. People discussing the snooping and internet slut-shaming are implying that there’s, you know, actually something to discuss there. It’s a really interesting mental process, and one that I see more than I’d like - ‘People are saying that the snoopers/shamers did something wrong, therefore those people are saying that the [probably] cheating woman did nothing wrong!’ Is there a name for this? ---
