Having read this thread and clicked on the links to the various pants(?) I am more than glad that all I ever wear are jeans. And jeans shorts. And I’m older than all a ya. My beloved Marcie has bought me two pair of pants and one pair of shoes that I will never wear. She also bought me a pair of spandex bicycle shorts–I told her I lost them. ---

It’s going to be ok…it’s going to be ok… **patting your back in a sympathetic manner** I don’t have to suffer this kind of thing now, thank goodness. But when I was a kid, being her only niece, my aunt loved to buy me clothes. Lots. Bad ones. I appreciated her generosity, but those clothes forever branded me a she-geek at school. And I had to wear them, mom said. “Your aunt would be _so upset_ if she knew you never wore those!” So, suffer I did. The worst of them include (keep in mind, I was 12 ath this time and on the cusp of have-good-fashion-or-be-an-outcast Teenagerdom): -A baby-poo-yellow knitted sweater with vertical purple stripes, green diamonds, and between the stripes, camels. _Camels._ -Pink.Corduroy.Bellbottoms. But, **WITH** elasticized ankles. They flared big, then they fitted snugly at the ankles. _shudder_ Weep for us, the cruelly clothed ones. ---
