I agree with **Mauve Dog.** **Wildest Bill** is the latest incarnation of Chicken Little. As he screams about the sky falling, the rest of us are pointing out the fact he’s standing under a tree and asking him to take note of the numerous acorns laying at feet. **Esprix** , if he bothers you that much, simply ignore his posts. He’s simply not worth the emotional energy you’re expending on him. ---

I was just starting to like him! I don’t like his spelling but I don’t think he’s so bad. Maybe it’s 'cause I ended up reading some old threads and found a whole bunch by Pashley - now there’s a freak. Check out his AOL homepage - oy! Anyway, Wildest Bill doesn’t seem so bad in comparison - I think he does read what people write in their posts, and his the spelling and grammar errors are - at least now - due to ignorance, not because he didn’t use the preview button. I think he’s trying, that’s gotta be worth something, right? His “Loser’s Pay” logic was completely flawed, I’ll admit that, but his “Hey gay dudes…” thread (that’s when I noticed him, too) was asked (I think) because he wanted to know the answer, not because he was trying to stir up trouble. Who knows, now that’s he’s using the preview button, maybe he’ll start backing up his assertions with facts instead of anecdotes. It could happen…right? I’m re-reading and realizing that using the word “logic” in connection with the “Losers Pay PERIOD” thread is incorrect. I don’t know what the word is for that. Maybe “thought process,” but perhaps it should be more like “verbal process” or something. “Series of unconncected usupported thoughts” perhaps… ---

I have earnestly tried to work on some of the things mentioned in this flame. While I know my English is not that great(ok it sucks), I have really tried to proof read more and use the dictionary more before I hit the submit reply button. I even tried to go back and explain my position better on the Loser Should Pay post. I could try to get back at Esprix with alot of stuff but then someone would take a chicken shit shot at me about being a hypocrite for not turning the other cheek. I really do have a hard time with that philosophy because I have always been a fighter when I feel like I am being attacked. And esprix, obviously I piss you off so why don’t you just not read my dang threads if they bother you so much and I won’t read yours. Because I think some of yours are just plumb stupid and irritating too. Especially the “Ask the Gay Guy”, “Ask the Guy Guy II”, and “Ask the Gay Guy III” (you even go so far as to list them suckers in your sig column)do you have infactuation with being the King of Gay knowledge or or are you just horny and cruising to get dates? ---

The idea mentioned earlier about little billy being the perpetual victim is renewed once again by, you guessed it, little billy himself. The “bully” thread, his response to Esprix here- my God, my doormat has been trampled on fewer times! He really believe this victim garbage. Whatever. Kid’s not worth it, although I do love to read Esprix’s rants-n-raves! Oh and Fenris- too funny! ---

The thing that really ticks me off is that **WB** has taken to presenting an “Aw shucks, I’m just a dumb guy who means well,” image, then inserts an unfounded attack in his “conciliatory” message. **Esprix** , I’m totally with you on this one (in case it wasn’t obvious from my post in [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=40813&pagenumber=2). (Could someone please email me a link or instructions on how to link to a particular post? Thanks). I think the reason that I get so frustrated with **Wildest Bill** is actually because he isn’t a _total_ moron. He comes up with interesting questions, so I think there’s something going on in there. The problem is that he doesn’t _listen_ to any answer to the question that doesn’t fit in with the answer he has already decided is right. It’s frustrating when someone actually asks an interesting question, on which reasonable people can differ, but then prevents a useful debate by his inane followup. I also will grant that **WB’s** English is getting better, although there’s no question but that it still needs major work. (By the way, **Wildest Bill** , my username has nothing to do with Ted Nugent. It’s my name. But I have no particular desire to be associated with him in any way whatsoever, so I didn’t take offense at your comment). ---

**Bill** , if you want to emphasize something, try bold, italics, underline, or capital letters. Oh, and to answer a couple of other folks’ questions I missed… **Mauve Dog** and **freyr** , why do I bother? I thought we were here to fight ignorance? I come here for some intelligent discussion and debate, and, as I’ve said, **Wildest Bill** comes up with some interesting questions that sound like the could be great debates… until you realize he doesn’t know how to debate. Then you just get frustrated. Besides, I’m a hopeless optimist. When I get suitably tired of arguing with a brick wall, I’ll stop, but as long as it amuses me (even through the frustration) I’ll keep giving it the old college try. (It’s the way I’m built - maybe it has something to do with always having to justify my existence to ignorami because I’m queer, I dunno… It also might have to do with the fact that I use English as my profession, so it’s built-in that I need to correct glaring errors when I see them - if I had a virtual red pen, his posts would be unreadable.) **filthy** , thanks for the compliment. Don’t worry Esprix, there is no Columbine thread. It appears that the “bully” thread was started simply because Bill feels put upon, and has felt that way for a long time. He only injected “Columbine” into the mix because he was upset to see that only 6 replies had been posted to his OP! ---
