I was once in a club watching a dancer walking to “Push” by Matchbox Twenty. That wouldn’t have been so bad, but I was quietly singing along until I realized what kind of vibe my singing the lyric “I want to push you around! And I will! And I will!” was creating.

**Interrobang!?** , why don’t you start another thread on the _best_ songs for enjoying a stripper? I’m dying to nominate Gary Glitter’s _Rock and Roll_, otherwise known as the “Hey” song.

DARNIT!!

_Into Temptation_ by Crowded House. It’s a song about rape (at least that’s the way I interpret it).

Just about anything by They Might Be Giants.

That was my first idea, but then I thought bad striptease songs would be more fun.

But I endorse the idea – go ahead and start the thread yourself!

I also have to say that I don’t consider symphonies “songs” in any meaningful sense of the word, but it’s certainly true that none of them would be particularly effective backdrops for public nudity.

That said, another non-song song: John Cage’s **4’33"**.

And jeez, “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” would be _awful_.

Ever since I read this earlier today, I haven’t been able to get “Edmund Fitzgerald” out of my mind!

It might not be so bad!

“Old Michigan steams like a young man’s dreams…”

“And farther below Lake Ontario takes in what Lake Erie can send her”

Well, maybe it would be so bad.
