God, I hope so. They cannot run the US any worse than the current lot. And after them, we get Tasmans running Europe. ---

If you’re truly worried about the U.S. being taken over by a religious theocracy that wants, and has more power and influence, to limit the rights of women then you’re worrying about the wrong religion. ---

Maybe we need to give the OP 5 minutes to stop hyperventilating, calm down and scratch out a coherent sentence or two as to what exactly they’re afraid of and why. Not that I’m expecting much but I dare to dream. ---

Yep. That un-named religion is worried it might lose some of it’s power to another religion. I saw a woman wearing a burqa in the grocery store just the other day. I think it was a woman, hard to tell. Reminds me of the Minnonites I knew growing up. The girls had to wear a bonnet all the time, even in gym class. Not my business though because we are in America and woman can wear whatever they want. Except for bike shorts. And black socks with sandels. And white after labor day. ---
