Wow, I’ve been attacked what, four times over three hours by a single poster that quoted just one snarky comment of mine? That must be some kind of record! I’ve had worse insults thrown at me, but just never so many in response to one post. I really touched a nerve… In any case, I don’t think Arabs are going to take over the United States because Arabs live in the Middle East. When people come here, live, work, go to school, start families, and lead normal lives, they become Americans. Salafists aren’t going to take over the United States because there are so few of them, nobody agrees with them, and Americans overwhelmingly like our society and system of laws, even though we may argue on the details. I think any hysteria on Muslims taking over our country is based on irrationality, xenophobia, intolerance, fear, and similar inexcusable reasons. There is no chance at all that our general system of government (including the principles stemming from common law) is going to be overturned, either incrementally or in a revolution, in the coming decades. If anyone really thinks our government is so precarious, they are not thinking clearly. ---

OP, are you being entirely serious here? Don’t give me some out of left field rant, answer the question. Are you genuinely concerned that Arabs will take over the country? I get the feeling you’re trying to get a rise out of people, and you’re absolutely refusing to respond to points being made. Someone counters your claim, and you just come up with a new one. This is great debates, not a soap box. What is it you want to debate? ---
