My reason for assuming the OP is a troll? Normal people don’t get happier when people start insulting them or their ideas. And they don’t suddenly stop doing what made people suspect them if they don’t know what it is that made people suspect them. Plus real people don’t feel the need to put on a dialect that fits the character they are portraying. Normal people with dialects still spell words normally. Why I think Iggy is full of shit: because he’s failing to look at the bigger picture. He’s one of those people who tries to force unreasonable people into a reasonable position. But any scandal would have come out by now. The Republicans are not being reasonable because they are trying the same thing over and over, expecting different results. And if you think being unprepared is a 7, then you must constantly be at level 10. Even if what you claim is true, someone made an erroneous tactical decision not to allocate funding ahead of time for a terrorist attack they didn’t know was going to happen. At most, they found certain threats to be less credible than they actually turned out to be. And there’s no fucking way they aren’t already trying to figure out how to keep it from happening again. A public investigation by people who are clearly trolling will never help that. ---

The point of it all, which you have apparently missed, or chosen to ignore, is that it wasn’t necessary for anyone to have died if State was doing it’s job. The British long ago recognised that Benghazi was no place for diplomatic staff, and wisely left the place, but State sent the ambassador into a known hotbed of terrorists without adequate security and with no ready reaction response available. That people died is hardly surprising, and that it was only 4 is testament to the character and skill of the few operators that were there. ---

Stevens chose on his own to do business out of an unguarded facility 400 miles away from the embassy because he wanted to be closer to the people. ---

Can you cite that, please? That is my impression as well, since I could not imagine anyone would encourage him to leave the somewhat secure premises of an embassy for some backwater consulate, but couldn’t find any direct verification. So this isn’t “cite! you lying sack!” but “cite, please, so i can use it too.” ---
