Is the equipment that lifts the boats kind of like a fork lift, that grabs the boats the same way the rails on the shelves and a trailer do?

Not really no. Picture a fork lift with VERY PADDED forks and it comes along behind your trailer, scoops your boat up [up to 38’] and places it on your slat. Very interesting to watch, and a little scary makes my heart pound watching that…![]()

They’re actually not too expensive. It depends on which ones you get, how much lighting you want and where you want them. Many of the lighting strips and rope lights are waterproof and low-voltage. You can do something as simple as this guy’s setup. I call these Barnegat lights. They’re about $150 each plus labor for the install, but easily a do-it-yourself job. There are many, many types, options, colors, powder- and non powder-coated, etc…

Now that would be really cool - however, I have never been a fan of night diving. JAWS was shot right down the road from my house…I see those scenes from JAWS every day when I drive through town. Nope, I’m good on not diving at night.
However, know a lot of people who do and those lights look cool. I found this website and it’s really cool. Check out the lighting down the right side of the website. Those are cool! I’d certainly use them for squid fishing - squids love the light. ![]()
