This thread in GQ: [Do armpits damage cloth?](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=460801), has probably been well answered several times over the years. It’s far more convenient to dig up pre-sifted refs to sweat acids and body oils within the confines of GQ, than it is to re-vet the piles of conflicting information found on the rest of the internet. Bring back search functionality ASAP. It is annoying to not have it. ---

I care not one whit about getting comped. The money spent is absolutely insigificant. The board is sinply starting to suck too much for my effort to use it. ---

[/QUOTE] I know **Hostile Dialect** has referred to **Q.E.D.** as Captain Google before and has made references to googling to be the first to post with an answer. There’s not really anything in this thread except for the comment about cutting back on free memberships which on its own doesn’t seem like much but with **Qadgop’s** post above it… Maybe I just don’t like **Hostile** and I’m reading stuff into situations where it doesn’t exist. Who knows. Does that satisfy? 'Cause it’s gonna have to. And Lord of the Flies had a crap ending. ---
