Having had to ask _both_ the U.S. and Canada to change laws preventing stunts on Niagara Falls to get permission for the Niagara Falls stunt, he didn’t expect to get permission in Grand Canyon National Park, so he had his people look for a location controlled by the Native Americans instead. This not so coincidentally made for a shorter crossing, and one where both sides of the canyon are more or less the same height (as opposed to the main Grand Canyon where there’s a height difference of up to a thousand feet). ---

True. He totally pussed out. Plus, the cable was 2 inches wide. 2 inches!! A real man would have used a 3/4 inch cable. And ridden across on a unicycle. While juggling flaming bears and singing the National Anthem. ---
